The Agent Contract Plane

Govern execution,
not just prompts.

A proposed portable contract layer for turning domain knowledge into inspectable, evidence-gated agent execution.

Intent + Domain Pack + Environment ---------------- Execution Contract

A claim is not confirmation.

TARGET 01

Compile

Resolve intent, capabilities, policy, authority, evidence, and human checkpoints before dispatch.

TARGET 02

Prove

Workers emit claims. Observable evidence and independent Verdicts decide whether work advances.

TARGET 03

Evolve

New capabilities move through trial, audit, promotion, canary, and rollback instead of silently becoming infrastructure.

Above runtimes. Below domains.

ContractPlane is not another agent transport or full-stack application framework. Its target architecture proposes portable semantics for those systems to execute.

ContractPlane domain contracts, authority, evidence, steering, lifecycle
Runtimes Mastra, Codex, Claude, LangGraph, custom schedulers
Transports MCP, A2A, Agent Client Protocol, HTTP, local CLI

Begin with a real domain.

REFERENCE 01

OpenClip

An agent-orchestrated video harness packaged as ContractPlane's first provenance-pinned Domain Pack.

RUNS TODAY

Standalone by design

Install the $oc skill and CLI to direct parallel video workers with human steering and evidence gates.

ALPHA BOUNDARY

Compile-only integration

ContractPlane v0.1 validates and compiles the pack. A ContractPlane execution adapter is not implemented yet.

Not the other ACPs.

ContractPlane is the Agent Contract Plane. It is not Agent Client Protocol, which connects editors and coding agents, and it is not the IBM/BeeAI-origin Agent Communication Protocol, now part of A2A under the Linux Foundation. Those protocols may be used by future adapters.
